I've used the Yahoo photo service, but I think Flickr now will be my service of choice. I've uploaded a few photos to work with on 23 Things. Taking the photos an extra step, i.e. posting a photo to this blog, making a trading card (with Max in his serious mode), posting on Mappr, has been fun and pretty easy.

ALA -- briefly
I attended the ALA Annual Conference on Saturday only, with an Exhibits Supreme badge. The highlight of the morning was Ken Burns in the "Auditorium Speaker" series. He spoke for about half an hour then showed an hour's worth of clips from his upcoming massive documentary on WWII. He did threaten to lock us in the room to see the whole 14 1/2 hour production -- might have been worth it! Look for this on PBS in September. It should be every bit as wonderful as his Civil War (i.e. not easy to watch, but wonderful nonetheless).
It never ceases to amaze me how a person can just run into pals among the thousands at ALA while wandering through the Convention Center in general or exhibit hall in particular. Lots of catching up, lots of hugs! Oh, yeah, lots of info updates, too.

Getting back to my blog. . .
Haven't forgotten, but havent' yet posted an about which of the 7 1/2 habits that I think is most challenging. Actually, I think that I struggle most with viewing problems as challenges. It sometimes seems easy to fall into a habit of viewing problems as problems, not opportunities for learning and growth.

My first post
This is my first post on my blog!
Like many people, I learn best by doing, so Maryland Library 2.0 is the ideal way to become familiar with new technologies.
